Chibi Drawing

If you are an anime or manga fan, you have probably seen a couple of chibi characters. Chibi means small or short in Japanese, which is why chibis are depicted as small or short. The word chibi came from a Japanese historical epic called “Taiheiki,” which was written by Kojima Houshi in the 1370s. Chibis are usually two to four heads tall and have big, detailed facial expressions. These characters help make a cute and fun-filled atmosphere in fiction and in real life.

If you go to Japan, you will find chibi characters everywhere you go. They can be found on billboards, shops, restaurants and more. Chibis are also used for funny anime scenes and popular manga franchises. They are also used to advertise many different brands or products such as roman cups, desserts and keychains. This art style is very cute and has many different uses.

I decided to do my own take on chibi drawing. My chibi character is wearing a striped shirt, blue pants, a belt and brown shoes. They have short, blondish-brown hair and a green eye and a closed eye. They have a shining smile and are shown as happy.
